I received your letter dated 30 ulto enclosing the following receipts Viz Viz.
James Byres jr for Drs 1292 80 C
Fredk Spriggs ........ go — making together thirteen hundred thirty five dollars to the debts which are to be carried on the books of this Office.
With respect to Mr Fleming, his account was lately stated in this Office in which appears a considerable balance in his favor, previous to reporting on this amount I deem it necessary that he should transmit a Statement in order to check the one made here & have written to him twice on the subject & have recd no answer —
