Isaac Haskells pay was given by him at the War office as the time of his acceptance of his appointment as 2^d Lieutenant in the 7^th Regiment of Infantry. — No minutes of his appointment appearing of Record in the War office, the coming from Captain Bird as a General Pinckney on public service, confidence was placed in his affidavit, and the Pay Master General informed accordingly.
