I hope you have rec'd mine of the 8^th inst. advising of their coming safe to hand at last— The Court met yesterday, adjourned to day 10 o'Clock— a busey & disagreeable day this & for several days. I lament exceedingly you are not present— An important evidence for the investigation of the dept. last night told me that he was threatened by the Master Armour, Col. Orr, that if he appeared as an evidence M^r Arney w'd turn him, or any other out of the works. they are frighted at the event. Your presence w'd dispel their fears.
