I may believe that had I pursued this enquiry, it would have been found that many have been sold for [undecipherable] a hence [undecipherable] my own it is those the Gentlemens that have had any more than 500 acres, which I trust will convince them that is a small consideration for the losses they Sustained in consequence of [undecipherable] my removal, & this need not have taken place had I not have given Aid [undecipherable] to the [undecipherable] as the [late] Senior General Montgomery, as well [undecipherable] by the Journals of Congress [undecipherable] wherefor the money was ordered [undecipherable] to me, and I received in [undecipherable] money [undecipherable] to [undecipherable] with all its [undecipherable] circumstances [undecipherable] the Board to [undecipherable] consider the case, [undecipherable] the quantity [undecipherable] me [undecipherable] the [undecipherable] I see no means approaching [undecipherable] that I hope [they] will deem me all [undecipherable] my Situation at Montreal [undecipherable] was called [undecipherable] in the engagement [undecipherable] in [undecipherable] years of the [Province?], at [undecipherable] [undecipherable] I am disposed by Nature to [undecipherable] between [undecipherable] [Wishing you?] [undecipherable] with [undecipherable]
