You wish me to give you some further information if I have it, relative to the articles I received from Oxford; I am extremely sorry it is not in my power to give that information you wish for —. In my Letter to you of the 30^th ult. I State the manner in which these [undecipherable] came to hand & the impossibility of ascertaining the Articles belonging to each Regiment. If were they now in the same State, without the Assistance of the Pay- & Quartermasters of each Regiment — I could not give you more light on the subject — I presume to say the Statement on my Return as it relates to State & numbers is accurate — Col. Orr & Captain Bryant took the account of the Muskets.
