By yesterdays mail, I advised you of the receipt of Governor Sergeant's trans-
mission; Yours of 23 Inst. is at hand, with respect to Ordinance, I have not, received any lately. [There?]
at F[or]t Jay, I will request Major Wadsworth to make a Return of which shall be transmit-
ted you — As this State have acknowledged the debt due from them to U States, all the Stores
furnished for the fortifications &c: will be [undecipherable]
the St[?] N.Yk, and in that case, they will have
40 — 32 p[d]r & 40 — 24 p[d]r — with 8 [in.] Shot, suit-
able for S[ai]d ordinance, and Carriages complete —
F[or]t Jay will want immediately 50 pieces of
Ordnance — the works is ready for them to
be mounted on
