[undecipherable] my arrveal from [undecipherable] nati at Pittsburgh Whe[n] wh[ich] [17]99 [I] applied to Major Cr[aig] D[undecipherable] end fo[r] the [h]or[se] [undecipherable] ansportation from Pittsburgh to Phila[delphia] [undecipherable] cases which [undecipherable] make one was then purchasd fo[r] the [undecipherable] — that one [on] the ba[undecipherable] alleg[ed] within failed on the road at Bedford — I delivered him to a [undecipherable] Graham of the [undecipherable] [regi]ment, to be by him del'd to the D[eputy] [M]aster gen[eral] [or] his agent in Case the horse should not [undecipherable] — in Consequence of this — Capt. Graham len[t] me his horse as far as Bird['s] at Fort Littleton — from thence I hired of all T. Bird, her hor[se] as far as Shippensburg Where the Stage Comes [to] — My Charges for the hire of [Bird's] horse, has been admitted in an amount [undecipherable] [undecipherable] with J. Miller agent for the D[eputy] M[aster] Gen[eral] in the summer of 1799. [To whom Concerned] C.
