General Orders
The Quarter Master Genl will take immediate measures to supply the following post and garrisons with fuel to accommodate them untill the last day of March next inclusive conformably to the following regulations —

In frontier Posts remote from towns or villages are to be supplied
with fuel by the troops – the Quarter Master General to find transport and to purchase the Articles –
At Niagara, Detroit, Mackinac, Presque Isle and Fort Fayette the allowance must be proportioned to the rigor of the climate and the intenseness of the season on the discretion of the commanding Officer, who will be held responsible for the strict observance of economy – It is expected that the troops will cut their wood at these Posts –
