Philadelphia 7^th August 1800 I have received your letter of the 22 instant — Two Diamonds have been received with my last, as soon as they are tried and approved I will send on as many more as you request — I will inquire for William Price, Cap manufacturer and if found will communicate your wishes to him — my friend in Boston writes me you cannot from thence obtain a first rate Workmen — and many be had on easy terms — And he informs me the best Workmen in the Country are at Albany from whence he thinks you may very readily be supplied — I shall be glad to receive the returns you mention — after which I shall call your attention to the missing Abstract of renewals for Philip Augusta & upon me 79 — and the Accounts to long [undecipherable] sanit account — Your Most Obed^t Serv^t Samuel Hodgdon Major Isaac Craig —
