Sir—
All the merchandize mentioned in the Invoice inclosed in your favour of the 30th of Apr.t last, has arrived here safe, except 28 kegs of powder & 5 pigs of lead — I expect them daily —
In my Letter of the 26th of may last, I inclosed the first bill of a set of Exchanges from Colo. Hawkins dated the 1st of April, drawn on his Honour the Sec.y of War, in my favour, for $1636.50. which I in dorsed to you [strikethrough: and forwarded it] as a remittance on the factory — Also in [my] said Letter I [undecipherable] to be informed of the disposal of the Negro Woman and her Child mentioned in it — I wish an acknowledgment of said Letter and its inclosure, having [undecipherable] you if it got [strikethrough: safe] to hand —
On the 30. [strikethrough: Inst.] Ulto. Colo. Hawkins presented me with a Set of Exchange, dated 28th of the same Month drawn on his Honour the Sec'y of War in my favour, for am'ot of ten Days at Sight per Six hundred Dollars — for which I paid him the Money, by this post his Letter of advice will be forwarded, and by next Post I shall forward the first [undecipherable] to be indorsed to you, as a remittance on this factory And —
