I certify that there is due to John Henry Captain in the 2 Regt of Artillerists & Engrs the sum of Six dollars & 27/100, being for a like sum deducted from his Pay on the Pay roll of his Company for March & April 1800, p Certificate of the Pay master Genl for excess of fuel issued by the Contr. on his order, to a Cadet at Fort Adams, but which is now admitted, the same appearing to have been furnished agreeably to general orders issued by the adjutant General, dated 27 Jany 1800, in pursuance of instructions from the Secretary of War — which sum is to be transmitted to John S Dexter Supervisor at Providence to be by him paid to the said Capt Henry —
