I duly received your two letters of the 11 Inst. one acknowledging the receipt of my last of the 2 Inst. the other inclosing two accounts from [undecipherable] Haskell for his disbursements on the present year for the Hospital Department as agent under the Contract of James & Dean, as no settlement can take place but with the latter this must be considered as improperly entered at this Office and will therefore be returned here subject to your or Mr Haskell's further orders —
the account forwarded by Mr Haskell some time ago [through?] your hands have been stated and the sum of one hundred & twenty eight dollars & [undecipherable] in his favor which sum you will receive from the Treasurer of [undecipherable]
