The Secretary of the department of War mentioned to me yesterday that I Should have an ansr to day on the Subject of the warrant applied for by my Brother. — as I am much engaged I beg leave to enclose you the letter wch authorizes me to receive it. I have put a recd on the back of it wch I presume will be sufficient. if it is not I will replace it by any other of more approved form. but as I do not wish to keep my Brother requisition unanswered I will thank you to send me the warrant by the Bearer.
