Dep^t Richmond V^a] Accountants Office July 2^d 1800 Sir Your letter dated the 18 Ulto was received by my chief clerk at the City of Washington and by him forwarded to me with the Bills therein enclosed I have [undecipherable] with the Treasurer, but now forward you herewith one of the receipts, the other [should?] be forwarded [if it shall] be necessary Sam [undecipherable] [signature] Marbines & Guyler July 3^d 1800 [undecipherable] near Albany [undecipherable] Creek— Sir Your letter dated the 20 [Ulto] has been received at this Office the claim in question and [undecipherable] the same was adjusted and the amount of Twenty one dollars [undecipherable] from our grant for which a warrant then [undecipherable] in his favor but his having never called therefor it remains [also] at this Office subject to his order.
