M^r Kinsley wishes me to mention to you that he requests you will inform him, as soon as you have determined, whether he is to make the bayonets & ramrods or not, as he is entirely out of employ here. I am exceedingly sorry to hear, that my very worthy & highly esteemed & respected old acquaintance Col. Pickering is removed from Office. We cannot conjecture what has caused his removal.
