[undecipherable: probable reading Croven] the Quarter Master General says all Q.M^r Accts are to be Settled with him. I have accordingly made some progress in that business & shall persevere until Compleated — In my last I requested You to transmit to Col.^o O'Hara the Bills Drawn by me on You with which You have Debited Col.^o O'Hara — but in Addition I have to beg of You to transmit to me an Accurate Statement of the Sums remitted to me as well as Bills by me Drawn with which You have Charged Col.^o O'Hara — This Statement is indispensibly necepary to our Settlement — In making this Statement I wish you particularly to advert to our Acc.^ts last transmitted to You on which You will See I have given you Credit for $500 received of You in Philad.^a 5 of March 1794 & which Sum I find Col.^o O'Hara has Charged me — I hope you will find time to make that Statement previous to your Removal to the New City — Pray what is the General Opinion of the Late Conduct of the President in his Removal from Office of his first Ministers — is it not Suspected that Some of the Artful Democrats are leading him out of the right Path, or that he is in his Dotage — and pray is not Gen.^l Hamilton greatly Mortified by the Treatment he has received of Congress — The B.^le of Coffee has not yet Arrived — I am Sir most Sincerely Your Obedient Servant [signature] Sam.^d Hodgdon Esq.
