Sir,
I some time since entered into a contract with Mr Jonas Wade of New Ark New Jersey by which he stipulates to deliver to the Public Storekeeper in Philadelphia Ten thousand pairs of Shoes of equal quality and manufacture to the patterns — which Shoes were to be inspected in Philadelphia — I am just informed Mr Wade has a number to deliver. I request you would in conjunction wth the Superintendant and Storekeeper appoint a suitable person to inspect the Shoes to be furnished under the said Contract and have him sworn to the faithful execution of his duty —
