As all claims of that nature are to be Acted by the Pay master of the respective regiments I return you the account continue for the purpose of making the proper application to the Pay master of your Reg^t — Sam W. Q. of the Genera^l Sir May 16^th 1800 In reply to your letter of this day, I have to observe that the examination of your accounts not being so far advanced as to enable me to State precisely the whole of the allowances in question, it will not be in my to immediately comply with the request herein contained, more especially as it is presumeable that the Accounting officer may at present be amply engaged with the more immediate affairs of the Department — As soon as this allowances are Settled an abstract of them Shall be transmitted to you — Sam W.
