I will therefore thank you to have it delivered — Sam B W[undecipherable] [from Brunswick [undecipherable] &c] [May 18, 1800] Sir I enclose to you a provision return signed by you for rations issued by the [undecipherable] Contractor to your [undecipherable] in Oct. 1797. from the face of it you will readily perceive that I could not pass it to the Contractors credit without additional explanation from you. a very material circumstance is the altering the original number from 188 to 181 rations.
