Inclosite to you a Provision return Signed by you for rations issued by the Issuing Contractor to your recruits in Oct. 1797. from the face of it you will readily perceive that it will not pass in to the Contractors credit without additional explanations from you, a very material circumstance is the altering the original number from 188 to 181 rations. I must therefore know to when they were issued, and the time for which each is drawn; for either by forwarding the original returns or by stating an abstract shewing the character drawn for — In expectation of a timely reply
