I have received your letters of the 3 & 7 instant the former covering Field & Staff Receipt rolls together with your Subsistence Acc. up to 1 April 1800. the latter delivered by Daniel Dobbins who same time presented your draft in his favor for 3 2 [strikethrough: the] dollars which I have paid this morning — together with Mr Barkers acct 45 dolls — James Peddles acc. as well as any other properly authorized. will be paid when presented — at least so far as I am enabled by the amt of your Pay forage & Subsistence — in order to add to your funds in my hands I herewith transmit Duplicate Blank Receipt rolls of Field & Staff for March & April 1800. together with Duplicate Blank Subsistence Accounts to all of which you will please to place your Signature as on the rolls of the preceding months. and place them in the hands of Mr James Naylor who will transmit them to me a safe conveyance — I am Dear Sir
