[Accountants' Office?] The Secretary } of W^ar May 9^th 1800 Sir A Warrant having been by the Secretary of War in favor of Gen^l Henry Lee for the Sum of Seven thousand dollars on account of Armorries & foundaries: I called upon Mr. Stone Clerk in your Office for a copy of the disbursements to forward to him, the disbursement thereof, my request not having been complied with, I am therefore necessitated to call upon the Secretary of War, to write readily he presumed that I should be early furnished with information how this money is to be disbursed, that I may be enable to furnish him with the necessary forms for bringing his accounts before he leaves this City, and hazardously as he stands charged with a considerable Sum of money in this Book of this Office, which he has not yet accounted for, otherwise for that purpose & Sam H.
