Ninoville Sir Accountants' Office April 24^th 1800 By this days mail I forward a letter from Mr Chandler enclosing a certificate of the Pay & rations of him by Col^o Butler, and doing many that forwarded some time since, I being overseas — So I forward the Statement of his account upon the information contained on the certificates forwarded it is errored as I therein credited the Col^o with his pay & for the months of July August S^ept 1799 which appears by this last certificate to have been paid by his himself and I omitted charging him with the rations drawn by him for these months. In consequence I have inclosed another Statement of his account by which there appears a balance of Eight Dollars & eighty cents due from him to the States. I also copy of this Statement & inclose you for your government & I have desired Col^o Butler either to refund you this amount or stop drawing his Pay & rations until the account shall be balanced — Sam B.
