M^r Josiah Williams P.M. & Clo Springfield Massachusetts — do Accountants' Office April 11^th 1800 Your accounts Vouchres for expenditures at the Armory at Springfield Massachusetts up to 31 Dec last have been examined, and a balance of [undecipherable] Dollars & [undecipherable] found due to you to the United States enclosing the sum of $1400. amount of Warrant N^o 4617 granted to Samuel Hodgdon the 2^d [undecipherable: Dec?] 1799, with which you stand charged in the Books of this Office relative to sundry sums transmitted to you in the present [undecipherable]. The difference arising on the present settlement, must be accounted for by the statement rendered for your government.
