It may be proper to mention that in addition to the monies advances to him by you his draft for one thousand Dollars on the Secretary of War has been paid a few days since. The length of time since M^cBall has come into Contract, the magnitude of the charges against him and he having never rendered any accounts makes most the more urgent for and immediate transmission of his accounts.
