Accountants' Office April 2^d 1800 I certify that there is due to Edmund Winchester late Contractor of Boston the sum of [underline: eighty] nine dollars P ⁴⁴/₁₀₀ being a balance due him for materials purchased in April & May 1799 for repairing the barracks on Castle William Island, which were rejected on settlement made the 7 of Aug^t last they having been purchased without the approbation of the Secretary of War but now admitted in consequence of orders from Gen^l Hamilton & approved by the Secretary of War, which sum is to be transmitted to Jon^o Jackson Supervisor Boston to be by him paid to the said Edmund Winchester.
