Fort Wilkinson 1 April 1800 [undecipherable: Copy/Draft] of a letter to the [undecipherable] [undecipherable] Military Stores [undecipherable] the [undecipherable] Exchange for 250 D[undecipherable] drawn in favor of my Brother Nathan —] Fort Wilkinson April 1^st 1800 Sir I have this day drawn a bill of Exchange on you, in favour of my Brother Nathan Wright, or order, who lives in Queen Ann's County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, for two hundred and fifty Dollars, payable at sight, it being in my Salary as Factor to the United States Georgia Factory, at Fort Wilkinson on the River Oconee in the State of Georgia, from the first day of January to the thirty first day of March eighteen hundred, both days included being three Months, at the rate of One thousand Dollars per Annum. I have herein inclosed an open Letter to my Brother, which incloses said Bill. I will thank you Sir, to read said Letter and Bill, and if they are such as will enable him or order to receive the Money, to seal and forward them by Post.
