Document 1800Hamilton considers the French prisoners as the charge of the naval department and the military restricted to guard functions although some ammunition may be necessary. Planned to combine several regiments from Georgia, North and South Carolina into one regiment. Enclosed plan of Gen. Wilkinson on how to distribute the regiments.
