I have received your letter of the 6 Inst. informing me that Capt. James Taylor is authorised to receive, to have constructed, certain Works & defences on Beaver Island, in [undecipherable] & with their effectual buildings, and to make a return furnished and desiring that I would, agreeing to your letters dated August 6. 1799 & March [undecipherable] Inst. transmit them all missing rows and instructions relative to his accounts for that object — to enable me to comply with your request you will be pleased to cause me to be furnished with copies of your said letters —
