Any reference to the charges of food they come under different head of explanation and separate regulations will govern in their allowance, it will therefore be proper that separate statements should be formed. To enable you to do this I template the payments you have charged, a sum of two hundred & fifty dollars will be emitted for junction between subalterns directions to be fixed to go on applications for which fund you will give him your receipt. After you shall have completed the payments and obtained the receipts of the battles, they are to be presented to this office with the statements hereafter mentioned. The Standing Instructions (as I think) provide for encouraging Officers commanding detachments to book & distribute for travelling expences to which they are liable in visiting Recruiting Quarters. The number of miles you have travelled on this Recruit must be Stated, the Persons who represent the name of the places to from ratified an Oath or affirmation included in a separate account separately to the form has been alluded in those instructions.
