[undecipherable]] [30½] [Lower right notation, partially legible: [undecipherable]] Pittsburgh 28^th Feb^y 1800 Sir I have just received your favour of the 21^st instant covering my Memorandum of J^no Clark's $300 Indorsed by him & Paid to Kennedy & Lynch by you — I am much obligd to you for your Attention in obtaining & placing the Land Warrant in the hands of the Locaters in due season — Since my last nothing of Importance has Occured in this Quarter, the Ice in Monongahela is Driving but the Alleghany is still fast & snow continuing to fall — I wish You to Inform Col^o Habersham that there is four Mails now due from Kentucky & Cincinnati notwithstanding the Road from Wheeling Via Chilicothey is travled every week & said to be in good order at any season. this negligence of the Post Master or Post Rider on that Rout I presume ought to be Reported to the Post Master Gen^l. I feel interested in this Report as the Public Service I am engaged in renders a Weekly Communication with Cap^t Vance at Cincinnatti necessary.
