Sir
Heith Simon Frevel of Georgia has prevailed on me the within papers relative to the claim of let home for rations rations due him on the Western Expedition. On reference to the accounts of the Virginia Militia on that expedition I discover that an order for rations of let home was forwarded by you to this Office by letter under date of the 6 Dec 1797 with sundry explanatory limits and that the account with sundry other papers was returned to your previous to your leaving this city. As I will have no official objection any end of which you are fully informed I return you the papers entire that with these in your possession you may be enabled to collect the claim and for the balance the letter above which you may find on investigation to be due him requiring his attention as to the number of Rations drawn at the balance and I have informed let limited to this effect she with no doubt communicate the James to let home for the purpose of making application to you
