[Cancelled] Cap^t George Tillinghast Accountants Office February 27, 1800 Sir On the settlement of the accounts of the Contractor at New Fort Rhode Island, it appears that you have drawn 4 Rations ⅌ day as Commandant of division, in addition to your Subsistence as Captain from the 7 Sep^tr to 31 December 1799, to which you are not entitled, the law having made no such provision. The amount of the Rations overdrawn by you, at the contract price, will be deducted from your pay &c by the Pay master General, who will be furnished with an account thereof for that purpose.— I am &c W.S.
