mr Killian P Van Rensselaer, son of the late mr Philip Van Rensselaer, and brother in law to major Van Rensselaer wishes to enter into the [undecipherable] or an[undecipherable] in the Artillery Corps, he is about nineteen years of age, and was prosecuting his studies at Williams College, were from too intense a Application he contracted so much Ill health, that the president of the College advised him to retire, he is a discreet and polite Young Gentleman, and as I am fully persuaded he will do honor to my recommendation; permit me to solicit your aid in procuring him a Subalterns Station
