General McHenry & finds in that manner by you is against the

and to which effect I have stated my averments to the Sec. of War
under letter of this 6 Inst.

Sir, There were two operations made on acct of this Department
having were adjusted the sum of one hundred twenty five dollars & 100 [undecipherable]
due to you thereon, will be transmitted by the Treasurer of the U. S. whenever
you will grant the [undecipherable] for the same — A difference of 29 [undecipherable]
appears on the [undecipherable] account to be an error in the calculations of your [undecipherable]
at [undecipherable] being charged on the 17 and 18 of [undecipherable] to the [undecipherable] of your [undecipherable]
