Having this day effected settlement of William Fulcher's account of Supplies up to the 31 Oct 1799 found balance against him of Drs 173 23 I have thought proper to advise you my letter in that Balence in advance of each settlement which you will then present to your government & forward as directed —
The amount of memorandums which you forwarded to this Office some time ago have been estimated as usual of late receipt to you for 170 dollars which has not yet been covered by Voucher — hope however it is on the way to this Office—

differences the Sum [ ] 177.7
leaving to be admitted to your credit the sum of Drs 4348 33
which being set against the sum of Drs 3380? Standing [against] that
leaves a balance of Drs 173.23 in favor of the United States
for which you are held accountable on the Books of this Office —
