Rhea Trenton Accountants Office February 7^th 1800 Sir The account for rations returned due to major Gen^t Hunter & his Aids Delamp was forwarded from this Office to Mr^s Dayton Agent for the Jersey line for the purpose of examining it by the muster rolls to ascertain the period of service. He has returned it within a day or two by which it appears that the Aids Delamp receives the pay of major choosing such ranks they are entitled only to four instead of five rations p^r day. I have had the account adjusted making the balance two hundred seventy three dollars & 1/10, which sum is subject for your order. The Captⁿ Whitworth supplies no men merely with rations for some time, it is necessary to State the commencement & termination of the rations returned by his order, and indeed in every other instance the rations & the component parts do not form the number of rations charged.
