Previous to my leaving Trenton last fall, I delivered to you, all the papers relative to the claim of Mr. Bytchling, Indian Interpreter — labelled "Mr. Bytchlim's Papers". Including [interlined: an] Order from said Bytchlim to Mr. Foster, and his order to me, with a subsequent one to pay the amount when received, to Messrs. Meeker and Co — They have called on me (with Mr. Claiborne of Tennessee) informing, that the amount can be paid: You will please therefore to cause the same to be paid to Messrs. Meeker and Co or their order, agreeably to the tenor of said Papers.
