Yours of the 6 ulto. came duly to hand with the several enclosures. The Bill in favr of your brother, I have enclosed to him agreeably to your directions, & which will be readily honored; Your bill on the Secretary of War in my favor, I presented to the Secretary, who referred me to the Pay Master Genl [undecipherable] [strikethrough: [undecipherable]] [undecipherable] Charles Wright; I have enclosed, with the Pay Master Genl's remarks thereon. I am happy to hear that Mr Elliot with the Goods for the Sally arrived safe, and that the supply was in time. In my last, I requested you to send me a minute List of the Articles which your factory stood in immediate need of, with the quantity necessary to be forwarded; as soon as I receive it, I will endeavour to have the amount forwarded to you. It is pleasing to hear that your factories are in so good order, I hopes they will arrive at [undecipherable] in the [undecipherable] good [undecipherable], and that
by a system of industry and economy, your factories will retrieve the losses which [undecipherable] so apparently attended the administration of your predecessor.
