January 21^st 1800 Sir I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 20^th Inst.^t with the abstract amount of disbursements by Lieut.^t Williams & Little for Brig.^t M^cPherson district. on looking over your accounts of disbursements in the appointments to Northampton I find considerable number of additional charges for stores had for articles for the use of the Post, which you have omitted to enter on the abstract above acknowledged. I have now to request that you will inform me if Brig.^t M^cPherson has received any public property on that expedition either as forage or other articles not particularly enumerated in your abstracts; or to furnish me an abstract of the same and a full statement of all sums of Expenditure on that expedition which relate to the General — Purely, so as to place me in full possession of the amount of monies expended for articles received by him. — Sam^l N^o [initials]
