137 Accountant’s Office January 17th 1800 I Certify that there is due to William Powells & John Moore, spies of Lincoln County ordered into service by Isaac Shelby Esqr Governor of the the State of Kentucky for the protection of the Frontiers of the aforesaid County, the sum of twenty three dollars & 33/100 being for their pay from 23d May to the 5 June 1793, inclusive, which sum is payable to Wm. J Davis [per] order - W.S. Dolls 23.33 The Secretary of War.
