Among other articles it embraces 2793-fds of Boards, Timber & plank purchased from Sundry persons for the Fortifications as appears by the Certificate of the Surveyor accompanying the same. Before this can be admitted it is necessary that you forwards the original Bills & receipts of the persons from whom the purchases were made. With regard to the other items of that account it will be proper that your attestation be produced, setting forth that the articles so charged were actually delivered for the use of the Fortifications & that they were not charged above the current prices, such evidence is always requisite, when articles are furnished by Agents out of their own Stores, for Public use. When this said voucher (which I now notice) is returned thus qualifying your account will be adjusted the amount with your Person, transmitted immediately. [undecipherable]
