Appraisal of Three Public Horses
Document 1800In addition to enclosing the return for military stores for the last quarter of 1799, there is an appraisal of the three public horses by Captain Harry Garrison, the contractor's agent. Garrison and John Kronkhyte are responsible characters and competent judges of horses. They were appraised high so to have sold them for cash either at West Point or in the country would have been throwing public property away.
