Sir { Your favour of the 20^th Nov^t last came to han'd The 27^th of last month by M^r William Elliot, in closing an Invoice of Blankets, Coats [with M^r Elliot] and Flints, all which [undecipherable: proved?] [undecipherable: safe?] at Savannah, The 10^th of last Month, and non of the articles has reached this Place, a [undecipherable] circumstance to Col. Hopkins who [undecipherable] came into [undecipherable] the Creek Nation last Evening. I herein inclose an open letter to my Brother Nathan [undecipherable: Wright?], of Queen Ann's County on the Eastern Shore of Mary land, which incloses a bill [of Exchange?], drawn on [undecipherable] at sight in his favour for 250 Dollars, it being for my Salary as factor to the Indian Store at Fort Wilkinson, from 1^st Oct^o: to the 31^st Dec^r 1799 inclusive, three Months at the rate of 1000 Dollars per annum, after reading said letter and bill, if it can be honoured, please seal the letter and forward them by post to my Brother; M^r Elliot mentioned your desire that bills on [undecipherable] not be drawn on you at Sight, but my bill, being inclosed to you, apprehend it can make no difference, as it will have to go to my Brother afterwards, and return, before it can be presented. I also inclose you a letter, rec^d this day, by post, from Lieu^t Charles Wright— You will greatly oblidge me Sir, by receiving the Money mentioned in it, on the the within order and inform my Mother, Nathan Wright, living as before mentioned, by post, of your success, when no doubt he will take some steps to receive; should said order not be sufficient, please write me here I can enable you to receive it, if you will be so good. We are forwarding our Skins to M^r Ray in Savannah, they are all good; no part of the business under my care shall suffer, for want of attention. I am Sir your obedient & Hbl.
