The act of the 8^th March 1797 allows to Officers commanding separate Posts, three the number of Rations to which they would otherwise be intitled. It is thereby understood that this Stationary Senior Officer commanding an independent separate Post, or in other words the ordinary permanent commander in whole description you cannot be contend, as this over entitles to this additional allowance & not the special & convenient-[undecipherable] or Commanding Officer of a district.
