Pittsburgh 29^th November 1799 Sir, I have received your letter of the 22^d instant. I am at present engaged in arrangement of my Vouchers of Disbursements, & making Settlement with the little Gear previous to his departure for Philadelphia for which he says he is preparing — As soon as this Arrangement with him is completed — I shall pay diligent Attention to your requisitions — and in a few days will be able to transmit the Documents requires — "With respect to Medicines & Hospital stores destined for Fort Defiance as the Garrison of that post has been withdrawn they were sent to Detroit Subject to the order of Col^o L: Strong. The Clothing for the posts on the Ohio & Mississippi is gone forward accompanied by proper Invoices. Col^o Hamtramck informs me That the greatest part of the Clothing you inform me of coming forward is intended for Recruits yet to be raised in this Country [this?] & in the Territory.
