Sir
I have recieved your letter dated the 30 Ulto. In answer to which I have to inform you that your pay as an Officer in the line is to be recieved by you through the Pay master of your Regiment; that the additional pay & emoluments as an Aid De Camp will be paid you by the Pay master General, on your forwarding the proper statement, accompanied by evidence of your appointment. The information of the pay papers relative to your rations is correct the pay you will recieve as above mentioned. The whole number of rations you are entitled to as an Officer in the line as well as Aid Decamp are four [undecipherable] day, your forage you will recieve with your pay as Aid Decamp through the Pay master General
