Knoxville, November 13th 179_
Sir
I Now forward a Copy of my Entries in the public Books of this Office for the Month of September
As also an Extract of an Estimate for the Years 1794 for Services performed for the United States by the Militia of the South Western territory (now the State of Tennessee) Amounting to three thousand three hundred two Dollars and twenty nine Cents
And Likewise a Copy of a Letter written the 18th October 1799 Relative to Elijah Johnston and Robert Forkby's Claims. As I know these Claims will be before Congress this Session. Altho I have forwarded my opinion before with the Amount Claimed, Yet I repeat it again, lest these papers may have been misplaced from the frequent Movements of the Office, by the Periodical Contagion that Visits the City the Seat of our Government.
