Sir,
I have received your letter of the 1st instant and am much obliged by your attention to my Draft in favour of Revd Robert Andrews from whom I have a letter this day requesting me to send him that Draft which I presume he has already received — The Cloathing for Capt Taylor shall be sent to Limestone as you have directed accompanied by the Invoices received with it or exact Copies —
I have this day had an application by Capt Irish in favour of a poor Woman, a Daughter of a Mr John Jones of Philadelphia – to whom she wishes to return, being deserted by her husband a Mr Yard – and (she says) invited by her father I have therefore to enable her to defray the expenses of the Journey advanced fifteen Dollars and taken her Draft on her father which you will find enclosed – and which I have to beg of you at a convenient time to present to Mr John Jones for acceptance & payment – he resides in Water Street 3 Doors below South Street
