I received your letter of the 13th Instant, enclosing your account of Commissions for receiving & paying monies from this Department to the 30 Ulto, amounting to the a dollar and thirty hundreds, which you will receive from the Treasure of the United States ~~

I have received your letter dated the 16 Instant, with its enclosures —
As respects the arrearages claimed by Oliver Babcock it appears by the Muster Rolls of Capt McClures Company that he was on command with Lieut Bissell, it will therefore be necessary previous to settlement that Lieut Bissells certificate of the time he served and amount due should accompany the papers — they are accordingly returned herewith & when they are completed by the addition of the certificate mentioned you will forward them to the Pay Master General whose duty it is in the 1st Instance to settle all army accounts —
I likewise return you the papers relative to Ozias Bissell, have to observe that the additional evidence produced is not sufficient to settle on, & to return him for lost —
I have also to acknowledge the receipt of your letter, date the 23 Insto enclosing the account of each Evenings attendance on the part at the Barracks of Respectfully which I
